What consumers want: Has Covid changed consumer habits for good?

A survey of 5,000 consumers in 10 European countries shows lockdown measures may have caused lasting behavioural changes in relation to food consumption. EIT Food’s report highlights substantial shifts in shopping patterns, meal preparation and eating habits across Spain, Sweden, Germany, the UK, Poland, Italy, France, Greece, Finland and Romania.

Proposte per ripensare il futuro del cibo

“La situazione attuale mi ha insegnato che nessuno vince da solo. Bisogna costruire nuove, forti alleanze: tra le generazioni, tra i vari attori della filiera agroalimentare, tra Paesi ricchi e poveri, tra società civile e settore privato”. È un passaggio del discorso fatto da Guido Barilla, presidente del gruppo Barilla e della Fondazione Barilla nel corso dell’evento internazionale “Resetting the Food System from Farm to Fork - Setting the Stage for UN 2021 FOOD Systems Summit”, che ieri ha riunito attorno a un tavolo (virtuale) esperti di agricoltura, alimentazione e nutrizione, responsabili politici, attori del settore privato, ONG e società civile, impegnati a promuovere soluzioni concrete per ripensare i sistemi alimentari globali.

Food-system revolution needed says Barilla Foundation

The revolution that leads towards more sustainable, resilient and inclusive food systems must start today and now is the "time to act" - this was the message that came out from the online event organized by the Barilla Foundation and Food Tank entitled 'Resetting the Food System from Farm to Fork - Setting the Stage for UN 2021 FOOD Systems Summit'. During the event experts, academics, chefs and politicians discussed on how to redesign the future of food.
